About
Antoine Layère is a musician, composer and sound designer. He plays percussion, piano, various synthesizers and his computer. Among the percussions, he practices in particular the vibraphone, the congas, the marimba, the udus and various percussion configurations.
A graduate of the Conservatory in Percussions, Musical Writing and Electroacoustic Composition, Antoine has also studied Afro-Cuban percussion, Javanese gamelan, and jazz vibraphone. He has a license in musicology and is proficient in computer music, in particular Protools, Ableton Live, Usine; as well as sound production techniques.
Antoine develops a universe where sound becomes matter, texture, presence, movement, gesture, sign or coloring. Convinced that the sensitive is political, he seeks in multidisciplinary collaboration to explore, to shift the field of perceptions of the spectator / listener. Here, he sees Art as an echo of the world towards the bodies: sensitive and social.
